That'due south what I planned to do side by side Saturday. Saturday is housekeeping day with us (DH an DS do the major weekly shop - I practise the cleaining etc.).

I'll written report back when I've finished. smile

Takes my cleaner ii hrs pw to clean iii bathrooms, kitchen, hoover/mop all floors, bit of dusting. 4 bed house.

Takes me a LOT longer than 2 hrs prisoner of war, to option upwardly later my DCs, practice about eight loads of washing, generally tidy, alter beds, interim hoovering, daily kitchen tidy/make clean etc.

Depends what your counting as cleaning - I don't count laundry or beds. I don't count large irregular jobs like emptying and cleaning freezers but otherwise -
Cleaners do x2 people 3 hours twice a week.
We and then probably do an hour or two each every day. Plus extra if we've people coming for supper or volume clubs hither.

robinia Wed 26-Apr-17 23:51:17

How on earth do y'all exercise a bathroom in 5 minutes?

Sunbeam18 Midweek 26-Apr-17 23:55:02

How tin can you clean iii bedrooms in vii minutes?

ThouShallNotPass Wed 26-Apr-17 23:58:30

I'k not very... um... Domestic? In other words I retrieve I'm a lazy sod who hates cleaning. 😂Well, I don't really hate cleaning (I actually clean a building voluntarily for a charity twice a calendar week!) just I hate cleaning cleanish stuff where it makes just a pocket-sized divergence in the terminate.

I tend to let the business firm get into a state then I flip out and "Kim and Aggie" the hell out of every room. I'll empty all the drawers and atomic number 26 everything, I'll make full the wheelie bin and take bags sitting at the side. I pull out wardrobes, beds, drawers and the kitchen white goods. Basically I go basics until the house looks completely different and I am utterly knackered. Information technology'south usually around 8 directly hours once every couple of months.

PickAChew Thu 27-Apr-17 00:01:53

Is that all? I can spend an hour, several times a calendar week, getting the kitchen into a passable land.

No idea how ling it takes to make clean it all because it's never been achieved.

Deux Thu 27-April-17 00:eleven:34

Crikey information technology takes me fashion more than than 5 minutes to clean a bathroom. What exactly do you do, so does that include washing the floor, cleaning tiles.

Equally couldn't make clean 3 bedrooms in 7minites. Hoover them without having to move stuff, then maybe in 7 minutes.

BadToTheBone Thu 27-Apr-17 00:xiii:09

15 years I've been cleaning this house and it isn't finished still!

CremeEggThief Thu 27-April-17 07:58:51

Here's what I count equally cleaning the business firm, for a bones clean and it's starting from a very tidy house-

Vacuum the whole firm: 30 minutes. That includes under beds and nether the edges of sofas, not the whole floor underneath them.

Mop kitchen/diner, back porch and bath: x minutes.

Grit all reachable surfaces: 30-45 minutes for the whole house, including window sills, radiators, bannister runway, door handles and light switches. ("High" dusting to remove cobwebs is a dinferential job for me.)

Dust Venetian blinds: 15 minutes for iii. I LOATHE this job.

Clean mirrors and Tv set screens: 10 minutes for the whole firm.

Clean the bath: 15 minutes. This is the sink, bath, shower head, shelf and loo. I never clean tiles!

Clean the drainer, draining board, taps and kitchen sink: v-10 minutes.

Empty the kitchen bin, put the rubbish out in the wheels bin and make clean the chapeau: 5 minutes. I very rarely make clean the bin itself (I chuck some bleach into information technology every few months) and I never clean the wheely bins.

And then, Republic of ireland or around 2 hours, although with a few breathers, information technology might be closer to 3.

I clean the sink and then toilet daily after use and then that it ain't as grumpy when doing the weekly clean.

The weekly make clean I will spray the mirror with window cleaner, spray the sink, toilet, bath and shower with a bathroom cleaner. So I will wip the window down followed by the sink, toilet bathroom and shower. I volition clean the window sills.

I spray the tiles alongside the bathroom, sink and shower which also go rinsed down.

The floors I will do when I vacuum the whole firm.

I bleach the toilet the night before I do a thorough clean and I will put bleach downwardly the toilet when I have finished cleaning.

Defo takes me v mins as I put my stopwatch on from my spotter.

Timing the cleaning makes me more than focused to clean apace and I try to beat my last score.

I will make clean the radiator with a stainless steel cleaner once a month because it gets water spots on there from when we become water on earlier drying out hands.

MaitlandGirl Thu 27-Apr-17 08:48:22

I spend an hour a day on a 4 sleeping accommodation business firm as I mop the floors and vacuum every twenty-four hours considering we've got three hairy dogs.

I don't practise the kids rooms every bit they're all old plenty to do their own, their bathroom (I don't utilize it) or practise their laundry.

2015mom Thu 27-Apr-17 08:50:05

The kitchen I volition clean as I go when I make breakfast and lunch and dinner then I don't get too much to clean when I have the weekly clean.

The weekly clean for the kitchen consists of cleaning the work tips, cooker, tiles behind cooker, microwave, sink, baby seat, bar stools, make clean the cupboard doors because they are gloss and then they get loads of fingerprints from little one.

2015mom Thu 27-Apr-17 08:51:25

I detest sweeping and mopping the floors.. always the last thing on my job. I think I need to get the dyson cordless to motivate me to clean the floors more frequently

2015mom Thu 27-Apr-17 09:06:20

Cleaning 3 Bedrooms takes seven minutes which consists of Dustin everywhere thoroughly and occasionally dusting the skirting boards.

When I wake up each morning the beds are washed and I clear all the clutter daily in every room and put everything back where it should go each morning and then the clutter does not build up.

I try not to accept much clutter out also Considering my toddler cannot assistance himself and has to bear on everything and unremarkably pause it so I try and proceed everything articulate to avoid telling my toddler off. Plus information technology makes it easier when cleaning because cipher to pick upwardly

robinia Thu 27-Apr-17 xi:07:42

*The weekly clean I will spray the mirror with window cleaner, spray the sink, toilet, bath and shower with a bathroom cleaner. Then I will wip the window down followed past the sink, toilet bath and shower. I will clean the window sills.

I spray the tiles aslope the bath, sink and shower which as well get rinsed down.

The floors I will do when I vacuum the whole house.

I bleach the toilet the night before I do a thorough make clean and I will put bleach downward the toilet when I have finished cleaning.

Defo takes me 5 mins as I put my stopwatch on from my sentinel.*

I will time myself tomorrow!
I commonly use a product line technique on my bathrooms and do all the loos, and so all the sinks etc.etc. simply tomorrow I volition do one and time it.
How do you go the shower make clean by merely using cleaner and wiping down? That doesn't get rid of the water marks for me.

2015mom Thu 27-Apr-17 12:ten:twenty

The water marks I will requite a good scrub monthly and maintain by everyone spraying the shower spray after they have showered which reduces the water marks.

I would take idea going from bathroom to bathroom cleaning all toilets and so going from bathroom to bathroom to clean sinks would mean you are taking more than time to travel to each bathroom.

If I did that I know I would get distracted along the style with something or the other or somebody will interrupt my cleaning.

2015mom Thu 27-Apr-17 12:xiii:xviii

Most of the time one I will give the WC A quick clean afterward use as well as I have all the cleaning products in a cupboard in the WC so I almnot wasting time to go to the kitchen to get cleaning products.

The bathroom I will keep cleaning products in the bathroom so I am not travelling from room to room to get products.

Under the kitchen sink I have a cleaning caddy with everything required for cleaning and then I volition merely grab that and do my clean and so I take everything in the caddy. Merely reason I do that is because in the past I have been distracted whilst getting cleaning products which delays my cleaning.

MaitlandGirl Fri 28-April-17 05:33:26

I've got one of the big fluffy brooms/mops they apply for commercial cleaning. It'southward fantastic and so much quicker than a standard size mop.

I too use a rubber room to get the dogs hairs off the carpeting before I Hoover. Adds an extra step to the process just it'south more effective than merely using the Hoover.

KatherinaMinola Friday 28-Apr-17 11:43:59

Creme, what is your technique for dusting Venetian blinds? It takes me about xx minutes to practise ane!

(Judging by the OP'due south timings I might exist merely slow, though...)

JugglingMum17 Fri 28-Apr-17 xiii:07:11

Cleaning Venetian blinds seem very time consuming.... give thanks goodness I have not got any
